Ria P. Ancheta-Adrias is a veteran remote worker who spent 12 years working for a company in Washington DC while living in Hong Kong. Upon moving to Hong Kong, Ria found it challenging to secure gainful employment due to her shallow network and lack of language skills in Cantonese and Mandarin, which were essential for her field of Administration and Operations. She acknowledges the challenges of remote work, noting that many management and productivity principles from in-office work can be applied to remote settings. However, the inherent nature of remote work often leads to isolation and engagement difficulties. With Work From Home Insider, Ria aims to provide remote workers, hybrid workers, entrepreneurs, and freelancers not only with essential knowledge but also with the support of a community that understands the dynamics and challenges of working from home.
